POXET-90
Composition: POXET-90 contains dapoxetine hydrochloride, an active ingredient used primarily in the treatment of premature ejaculation (PE). Each tablet of POXET-90 contains 90 mg of dapoxetine hydrochloride.
Description: POXET-90 is formulated to help men improve control over ejaculation and extend the time before reaching climax, thus enhancing sexual satisfaction for both partners. It is specifically designed for adult men aged 18 to 64 years who experience recurring premature ejaculation.
Mechanism of Action: Dapoxetine hydrochloride, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), works by increasing the levels of serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that plays a key role in regulating mood and ejaculation. By inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin, dapoxetine prolongs the time it takes to ejaculate and improves control over ejaculation.
Indications: POXET-90 is indicated for the treatment of premature ejaculation (PE) in adult men aged 18 to 64 years. Premature ejaculation is defined as persistent or recurrent ejaculation with minimal sexual stimulation before, on, or shortly after penetration and before the person wishes it. It leads to distress and affects the individual’s sexual satisfaction and quality of life.
Dosage and Administration:
- The recommended dose is one tablet (90 mg) taken as needed approximately 1 to 3 hours before anticipated sexual activity.
- POXET-90 should be swallowed whole with a full glass of water.
- It can be taken with or without food.
- Avoid alcohol consumption while taking POXET-90 as it may increase the risk of adverse effects.
- Do not take more than one tablet in any 24-hour period.
Contraindications:
- POXET-90 is contraindicated in patients with a hypersensitivity to dapoxetine hydrochloride or any inactive ingredients present in the formulation.
- It should not be used in patients with significant pathological cardiac conditions.
- Concomitant use with other SSRIs, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), or other serotonergic drugs is contraindicated.
Adverse Effects: Common adverse effects of POXET-90 may include nausea, headache, dizziness, insomnia, and fatigue. These side effects are usually mild to moderate and transient in nature.
Storage: Store POXET-90 at room temperature (15°C to 30°C), away from moisture and heat. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Warnings and Precautions:
- POXET-90 is not intended for continuous daily use.
- Patients should be advised not to drive or operate machinery until they know how POXET-90 affects them.
- It is recommended to consult a healthcare provider before initiating treatment with POXET-90, especially in patients with underlying medical conditions or those taking other medications.
Packaging: POXET-90 is available in blister packs of 10 tablets.
